INTRODUCTION

When providing the client with feeding, follow the recommendations prescribed by the doctor in the medical record, follow the step-by-step plan for feeding, environmental safety, disinfection, treatment of equipment and the feeding place. It is important to take into account the patient's wishes, taste preferences, and food temperature. Maintaining communication with the patient is a mandatory aspect.

Reflection

Studying for the position of care assistant will help me clearly perform the duties as a carer. It will allow me to evaluate the work correctly. The learning will introduce me to the basic rules that should not be ignored when communicating with the patient and helping. Maintain dignity, privacy and independence of client. Having practical skills is very important, and having them helps prevent mistakes. For example, taking medication by a patient should never be a violent act - this is the rude mistake. The patient must take the necessary medications themselves. Medical staff can only suggest taking pills. If the patient is lying down and cannot take the pills themselves, the pills should never be placed in their mouth without their consent. If the patient has difficulty swallowing the medication, mash the tablet into a powder and mix with a spoonful of yogurt or juice.

The acquired knowledge is necessary if a person wants to do clearly work on caring for people in need of care.
